I finally got my grades! And I was kinda worried cuz I took 6 classes this last term and for me that's a shit load considering I work full shifts on the weekend and spend 3 hours a day on commuting. But I did quite alright if I do say so myself. XD

Art History: Renais. to WWII = B
I was worried about this one cuz my final project essay was late and I did the project the night before in like 2 hours. Acually I didn't do any research either XD I had a previous essay about Gustav Klimt that I pulled info and facts from and slapped together an art piece and explanation, a classmate told me she was really impressed by my somewhat bullshittery.

Experiments in Drawing = A-
This class was pretty easy-pesy, I didn't miss a single class like everyone else, late only once.I really enjoyed that class acually, kinda stress releif...most of what we did was figure drawing anyways. The only thing I didn't do was participate in the discussions. (HA, like I ever do that!)

Illustration Studio: Conceptual Techniques = B
I don't know why they bothered keeping that subname, the illustration dept. decided to change the course and stuff so it was considered to be a "redo" of basic drawing stuff. Like making sure we could do perspective and shit....well we didn't even really do that. Unfortunately the instructor was dealing with his sick newborn so he was distracted the whole time. So we didn't really learn anything, a couple things but definantly not a semesters worth. And he did step down but not until like 3 or 4 weeks before school got out. But we're getting a free workshop thing in July to make up for it, I think it was for 4 days. 'Course I jut got an email saying they need enough people to say yes or it gets canceled. Everyone gets so caught up with summer though...but they better sign up dammit. I need to be prepared for next term when the dept. chair beats my face into the ground and stranglesme with my own intestines.

Illustration Painting Techniques = B+
I loved this class so much, the teacher was by far the best teacher I've ever had. But what sucks is that he's leaving to go live on the east coast. lame. He had so much advice, like all the time about everything, and he was so good at teaching about gouache and building up form. I still suck at it but I'm a lot better than i was.

Beginning Math = A
ohmaigawd...a retarded child with no hands could pass that class with an A. My god I did not realize how stupid some people are. Now I know why people have the misconception that artist are incpable of doing well in normal academic subjects. We spent 1/3 of the semester dealing with probaility and chance. Yeah...I wanted to shoot myself, or at least replace myself with a monkey to ace the class for me. Geez. Well the rubix cube was the only fun thing really. That was our final. And I was the first one done!!! I finished in 2 mins and 55 secs. Then some other guy said "oh yeah, me too...same time as her" 'cuz he was the elite jackass that boasted he could already solve it, and had a video on youtube with him solving in like 30 secs, totally doctored.

Beginning Painting = B+
So this was my extra class, I had taken it last semester as part of my elective credit for the year but I wanted to take it again because I spent a shitload of money on the supplies. $200 in the beginning for everything and then maybe an additional $50 on canvas and stretcher bars for the rest of the year. I still have all my paints too, not a single one ran out. But I'm so happy I did take it, for all the stress the term accumulated...I started to really learn the differences between painting and illustration. I like the medium though, like the creamy wet-on-wet in the "Rapunzel" piece. It's just more of a hassle using it, 'cuz of the gamsol...being all toxic and highly flammable. Makes setting up and cleaning a bitch, I prefer the easy accessability of watercolors and gouache, nice and water soluble.

I haven't been super productive over the summer...but I've gotten stuff done and my friends and I are having anime (and Venture Brothers, god that shit's good!)marathons. Plus I made ~ichigo-pocky-aki a really cute dress! It's hard though to start drawing for the fun of it...I feel so burnt out on the spontaneous ideas. Well maybe that's not so true a few days ago I drew a magical cyborg-zombie-vampire-unicorn. So funny...it's a brother to the magical phoenix. oh wait I don't think I told you guys about the magical phoenix. well next time, when I post the unicorn.
OH! And my computer is sick! So sad! I was just surfing the internet when all of a sudden some random "personal antivirus" program comes up and tells me I'm at critical risk for trojans and shit, I run their scan thinking I have to and it tells me I've got like 400 infected files. But then I ran my McAfee and it said I was fine. So I was like "what the f computer?" I battle with these so called viruses by just deleting the shit out of every file I can find. Which was probably dumb cuz now I get an annoying message saying it can't run KBD...w/e that is...well I know it's for my hp printer, but oh well. Anyways it's off getting fixed. Apparently your not supposed to run their scan because it's not a very good program and just lets more viruses pass through. oops.
well now that I've written a book I'm going to leave...take a nap or something my neck's got a cramp from using my sisters laptop.
